Mission
Amarillo Elite Volleyball Club’s mission is simple; help young women become the best volleyball athletes they can be while providing them opportunities to learn leadership, sportsmanship, teamwork, and a drive for excellence in life.
AEV is a nonprofit organization and our goal is to provide the best training program while keeping costs to a minimum.

- To provide the youth of Amarillo & the Texas Panhandle the opportunity to participate in the USA Volleyball (USAV) program.
- To provide a safe and nurturing environment for young athletes to grow and improve in the area of volleyball.
- To develop young athlete’s leadership skills by providing opportunities to lead.
- To develop sportsmanship by demonstrating positive attitudes towards team members.

- To function as a non-profit, non-discriminatory organization under the appropriate League (UIL) and the laws of the State of Texas.
- To improve the caliber of competitive volleyball played in Amarillo & the Texas Panhandle.
- To provide opportunities for advanced play & exposure to college recruiters.

The Amarillo Elite Volleyball organization is registered with the State of Texas as a Non-Profit business. Our club is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer, and additional board members.
These positions are filled by volunteer parents who have a strong desire to see the program excel. The club also has an Executive Director, Assistant Director, Recruiting Coordinator, along with an AEV Accountant, all of which are paid positions.

LaParsha Wise
AEV DIRECTOR
LaParsha is AEV’s Executive Director, full time Mom and LaLa. This will be her 16th year serving on the AEV Board, and her 13th year as AEV Executive Director. La Parsha served on the Sun Country Board as the Amarillo Rep for 4 years, from 2015-2019. She and Mike have 4 children: Jonathan and wife, Shann, J’Rhea and husband, Josh, Josalynn and husband, Tim, & Jacob. They have 3 grand children: Caleb, Levi and Liam. La Parsha’s AEV philosophy: Anyone who knows me, understands I have a real heart for children. I believe God has placed me at AEV to touch hearts, mold, build character, integrity and leadership in athletes and coaches, love athletes, allow athletes to pursue their career and to simply help each family/athlete to be the best they can be, in preparing them for their future in the real world. AEV provides a stable and safe environment to work hard for both the athletes and my coaches. I LOVE MY JOB!

Katie Klaehn
AEV Executive Board President
Katie is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Private Practice. She & husband Daniel have three daughters-Haleigh, Micaiah & Londyn. Her AEV philosophy: to pass on the knowledge regarding the fundamentals of the game while also developing strong young ladies with character & leadership skills. There is a desire to always assure AEV is a club of integrity, quality teaching, and providing a positive piece to a parent’s village of developing their young child/athlete. Katie has served as the AEV Board President for the past 10 years.

Stacey Johnson
AEV Executive Board Vice President
Stacey is the Soncy Branch Manager/Vice President for Amarillo National Bank. He and his wife Angela have two children, Shann and Joshua. Stacey has served on the board for the past 18 years. His AEV philosophy is: To help ensure any child that has the desire to learn and advance their volleyball skills has the opportunity to play for a strong, stable, financially sound and long-standing non-profit organization like AEV.

Mike Wise
AEV Executive Board Treasurer
Mike is a Senior Vice President at Golden Spread Electric Cooperative. He and his wife, LaParsha, have 4 children-Jonathan, J’Rhea, Josalynn and Jacob. Both of their girls have been involved in club ball since 2000, either playing as athletes or still currently, as coaches. Mike’s AEV philosphy: It’s all about the kids, there is a reason for everything we do monetarily, to be able to provide the most stable club available for these kids. Mike has been the AEV Executive Board Treasurer for the past 15 years.

Sharon Burris
AEV Executive Board Secretary
Sharon has been part of the AEV Family for 8 years and on the Board for 7 years, serving as Secretary. Sharon has been married to husband, Cash for 24 years they have one daughter-Ashton, a junior in the Nursing program West Texas A&M University. Sharon is the Vice-President of the Amarillo Grain Exchange, Inc. Sharon’s AEV philosophy: AEV not only provides a great club experience for players and families but it is built on a strong foundation of people that believe in the Golden Rule, keeping our promises, demanding the best in people and giving our best as well.

Shaynna Goldston
